the Designer
A Speech Therapist turned Instructional Designer!
For the past 11 years, I’ve worked as a speech-language pathologist, helping adults with communication disorders communicate with independence and confidence. My experience has taught me how deeply personalized, structured, and engaging learning experiences can transform lives.
Along the way, I discovered my passion for designing instruction itself—the frameworks, tools, and strategies that make learning effective, scalable, and meaningful. This led me to pursue a career in Instructional Design.
What I Bring
• Therapy to Design Mindset – My background in speech therapy equips me with skills in analyzing learner needs, setting measurable goals, and creating step-by-step interventions—skills directly applicable to instructional design.
• Evidence-Based Approach – I rely on proven methodologies and research to craft learning solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Human-Centered Perspective – Every learner is unique. My focus is on building inclusive, accessible, and engaging learning experiences.
My Next Chapter
I’m now combining my expertise in communication sciences with modern instructional design practices—including learning technologies, e-learning tools, and design models—to create impactful educational content for diverse learners.
Whether it’s developing training modules, job aids, or digital learning experiences, I am excited to help learners succeed by making knowledge clear, engaging, and practical.
Beyond Work
When I’m not designing or learning, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new ideas in education, and engaging in lifelong learning myself.
